Created in 2003, Step On It Danny by Deborah Azzopardi is an acrylic on board that captures her trademark blend of colour, exaggerated imagery and fantasy. At a glance, it is unmistakably Azzopardi: energetic, bold, and rich with colour.

Azzopardi is renowned for her distinctive, playful works that capture the comedy of relationships, seductions, fantasies and worries of us all.

Primarily working in painting and print, she combines vibrant colour and cartoon-like imagery to create pop-art-infused scenes reminiscent of works by American artists Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol.

In March 2014, Azzopardi held her first solo UK exhibition of originals and limited editions on Cork Street, London, and launched her highly collectible book ‘SSHH’, which showcases more than 100 pieces of her work.
