Damien Hirst's The Emotions

Oct 13
2 min read

Released in 2026, The Emotions is a series of 9 works created by Damien Hirst, each depicting layered and richly coloured Jacaranda trees in bloom.

Hirst was first inspired to paint jacaranda trees after seeing the ones situated outside the Museo Jumex in Mexico, where his cherry blossom paintings were being exhibited at the time.

The series is a celebration of the deep colours of the trees, layering thick spots of paint to create a vibrant, immersive expression of colour.
