Yayoi Kusama (b. 1929) is a visionary Japanese artist celebrated for her immersive environments and signature use of polka dots and mirrored space. Working across painting, sculpture, installation, and performance, she transforms repetition into a language of infinity, exploring themes of nature, the cosmos, and personal psychology. From early avant-garde happenings in 1960s New York to her globally acclaimed Infinity Mirror Rooms, Kusama invites viewers into experiences that dissolve boundaries between self and surroundings.
