Romeo and Juliet is a colour etching from the Much Ado About Shakespeare series of 15 etchings on Japan paper printed in 1968. Dali created the etching with energy and feeling to convey how Shakespeare wrote about the characters. 


Inscribed EA (Épreuve d’artiste or artist proof) and signed in pencil by Dali aside from the edition of 150 etchings. 


Measures 33.5 x 25.5 cm. 


Unframed and stored flat. 


Salvador Dali (1904-1989) was an iconic Surrealist artist famous for creative, dreamy imagery of subjects displayed in wonderful ways. The eccentric and flamboyant artist worked with paint, photography and sculpture as well as film, graphic art, fashion and writing. Dali exhibited throughout his life, enjoyed a long and successful career and his work is found in major international collections and museums.
