Peter Max (b.1937) is a German-born American pop artist and a prominent figure of the Pop Art and psychedelic art movements, celebrated for his bold use of vibrant colours and cosmic imagery. Fusing fine art with mass-media culture, Max’s style captures the spirit of the 1960s and beyond. Over his six-decade career, his works have been featured in nearly 50 museums worldwide, has painted six US presidents, and has been commissioned to create artwork for major global music, sport and lifestyle events.
