Nicolas Party (b.1980) is a Swiss contemporary artist known for his vibrant, surreal works that reimagine the traditional genres of portraiture, landscape, and still life. Originally trained as a graffiti artist, Party later studied fine art and developed a unique style of soft pastels, bold colours, and dreamlike forms. His figures and scenes often appear otherworldly, with smooth textures and simplified shapes that explore themes of art history, transformation, and the artificial. He is especially known for creating immersive environments that transform gallery walls into painted backdrops blurring the lines between painting, sculpture, and installation. His works often reflect a deeper dialogue with the past, inviting viewers to reconsider how they represent nature, identity, and the human form.
