Walking In Suwon (Girl) is a free standing acrylic figure of a lady on a base, created as part of Opie's four-month show in South Korea in 2017/2018. The sculpture is from an unknown edition size and was published by Julian Opie and the Suwon Ipark Museum of Art.

 

Measures 23.5 cm tall. 

 

Julian Opie’s (born 1958) contemporary work focusses on bold figures and portraits in different poses, mainly through painting, drawing, printmaking and sculpture. Opie has also explored filmmaking. He is a celebrated British artist, having studied in London and exhibited widely in London and internationally. He is represented by several large galleries worldwide and has created numerous large scale works and installations. Opie’s work is found in many private and public collections such as the National Portrait Gallery in London, the MOMA and the National Museum of Modern art in Tokyo.
